Our
History
Treasure House
began in 1969. In that year, St. Thomas Catholic Church
established Treasure House and began providing assistance
to needy families in the community. St. Thomas found the
requests for assistance overwhelming and closed the same
year.
In 1970 members of
the community saw the need in the community and encouraged
churches, groups and individuals from the community to join
together and accept the obligation to serve our community.
The organization reopened and the new name was Inter-Faith
Treasure House.
In the 36 years of service to our community many changes
have taken place to meet the needs of the growing of the
community. Today we are the primary social service agency
serving Camas and Washougal. Treasure House offers a range
of services provided by trained staff and
volunteers.
